DALLAS — Dak Prescott tied for fourth in NFL.com‘s staff MVP balloting, which the site published Tuesday. He received two of the 18 votes, from Grant Gordon and Kevin Patra, and was listed at plus-1300 at FanDuel Sportsbook as of 11 a.m. CT Tuesday.
Josh Allen got six votes to lead the ballot and was listed at plus-550. Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert were next with three votes apiece, both at plus-1000. Lamar Jackson also received two votes, with his odds at plus-1100. Brock Purdy and Caleb Williams each picked up one vote.
Prescott got another vote from Nick Shook for Offensive Player of the Year, where he was listed at plus-20000. Jahmyr Gibbs received nine votes to lead that ballot at plus-650. Ja’Marr Chase was next with three votes at plus-1000, and Puka Nacua had two at plus-1300.
Dak Prescott’s 2025 Season And Contract
Prescott started every game last season and threw for 4,552 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. He completed 67.3% of his passes and finished first in the NFL in completions. The Dallas Cowboys put up 471 points, an average of 27.7 per game, and ranked 7th in scoring.
Prescott turned 33 in July. He agreed to terms on a four-year, $240 million extension on Sept. 8, 2024, hours before Dallas opened that season at Cleveland. The deal included $231 million guaranteed and an $80 million signing bonus. His contract runs through 2028. Executive vice president Stephen Jones said this week that a new contract has not come up inside the building.
ESPN moved Prescott up 40 spots to No. 38 in its ranking of the top 100 players for 2026.

George Pickens caught 93 passes for 1,429 yards and 9 touchdowns in his first season with Dallas, made the Pro Bowl, and was named second-team All-Pro. Pickens is playing this season on a franchise tag worth $27.3 million fully guaranteed, after the July 15 deadline for tagged players to sign long-term deals passed without an agreement.
CeeDee Lamb caught 75 passes for 1,077 yards and 3 touchdowns in 14 games. Javonte Williams carried 252 times for 1,201 yards and 11 touchdowns and caught 35 passes for 137 yards and 2 touchdowns. Dallas signed Williams to a three-year contract worth $24 million with $16 million guaranteed on Feb. 21.
Klayton Adams is in his second season as Cowboys offensive coordinator. Lamb said Monday that the offense has bought into what Adams is running.
Dallas went 7-9-1 last season, finished second in the NFC East, and missed the playoffs for a second straight year.
Dallas starts the season Sunday, Sept. 13, on the road against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The game starts at 7:20 p.m. CT and will air on NBC.
