FRISCO, Texas — Otito Ogbonnia is listed as a starting defensive tackle on the Dallas Cowboys’ unofficial depth chart released Tuesday. Kenny Clark and Quinnen Williams hold the other two interior spots.
The chart lists three defensive tackles, two outside linebackers, and two inside linebackers. Dallas ran a 4-3 front last season under a different coordinator.
Ogbonnia signed with Dallas on March 10 after four seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers, who took him 160th overall in 2022 out of UCLA. He has played 41 career games, nine of them last season, and has 82 tackles. Jonathan Bullard is listed behind him.
Only one player from last season’s Dallas defensive tackle rotation is still on the roster. The group a year ago ran through Mazi Smith, Solomon Thomas, Perrion Winfrey, Jay Toia, and Osa Odighizuwa.
Depth in the room is what Clark said Dallas will need late in the season, and he named Ogbonnia first among the players behind him and Williams.
“That’s going to be huge,” Clark said. “[Otito Ogbonnia], [Jonathan] Bullard, [Jay Toia] and all those guys, LT [Overton], we’ve got a really good room, and a really good bunch of guys that’s been helping. [Ogbonnia] big, just big dude in there. The two, the four, the three and the nose, so he’s going to help us out a lot. Same thing with [Bullard], he can play all three positions. And they’ve played a lot of football, they’ve played in a lot of big games. We’re definitely going to need them later into the season.”
Kenny Clark And Quinnen Williams Played Seven Games Together In 2025
Clark is in his 11th season. Green Bay traded him to Dallas on Aug. 28, 2025, sending a 2026 first-round pick and a 2027 first-round pick along with him for Micah Parsons. He has made four straight Pro Bowls and was a first-team All-Pro in 2022. Last season he started all 17 games and had 3.0 sacks.
Williams arrived at the November trade deadline and started seven games for Dallas, recording 1.5 sacks and an interception. He agreed to a three-year extension worth $105.9 million in August. This summer was the first full offseason the two have had together.
Through the first week of camp in Oxnard, the starting offensive line worked mostly against Williams, Clark, Ogbonnia, and Bullard.
Facing that group daily was where Tyler Smith said the offensive line was building toward what it wants to be.
“I feel like things are going well,” Smith said. “Obviously, putting on the pads is just getting back into the physicality that the football season entails, but I feel like we’re off to a great start. Obviously, there are things to clean up, every day is not perfect, but I think we’re building towards what we’re trying to be.”
LT Overton Is Listed Behind Quinnen Williams
Rookie LT Overton, the 137th pick out of Alabama, backs up Williams. No backup is listed behind Clark.
Donovan Ezeiruaku and Rashan Gary are the outside linebackers, with rookie Malachi Lawrence and Von Miller second at their respective spots.
Christian Parker is in his first season as Dallas defensive coordinator. The Cowboys allowed 511 points last season, the most in the NFL. They ranked 23rd against the run and finished 7-9-1.
Smith will not play Sunday. He had thumb surgery Tuesday and is going on injured reserve.
