FRISCO, Texas — The Dallas Cowboys announced their initial 53-man roster on Sunday ahead of the NFL’s 5 p.m. CT deadline. The team kept 24 players on offense, 26 on defense, and 3 specialists.

Dallas waived 28 players and released 7 to reach the limit.

Undrafted rookie wide receiver Camden Brown made the roster and wears No. 6. He is the only player on the 53 who signed as an undrafted free agent this year.

Dallas placed outside linebacker Marist Liufau and cornerback Devin Moore on Reserve/Injured-Designated for Return. Tight end DJ Rogers was waived/injured. Liufau broke his forearm in the preseason finale against the New Orleans Saints on Friday.
