DALLAS — Dallas Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb made ESPN’s top 100 NFL players list again.
However, he dropped 14 spots.
In 2025, Lamb was ranked 19th. This year, he’s at No. 33.
“Lamb can set a Cowboys record with a sixth straight 1,000-yard season,” ESPN’s Todd Archer wrote. “He and another No. 88, Hall of Famer Michael Irvin, are tied with five. With Lamb alongside George Pickens, the Cowboys have one of the best receiver duos in the league. But his biggest concern is health. Lamb missed three games with a high ankle sprain a year ago, and he dealt with a shoulder injury most of the 2024 season. As Pickens gains more attention, Lamb is still a No. 1 receiver who can be a matchup nightmare all over the formation.”
Lamb’s 571 receptions are already the third most in Cowboys history after Irvin (750) and tight end Jason Witten (1,251).
Lamb Played Well In 2025
Lamb recorded 75 catches for 1,077 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns last season. The Oklahoma product made his fifth consecutive Pro Bowl team.
However, Dallas went just 7-9-1 and missed the playoffs for the second straight year.
Lamb and Cowboys QB Dak Prescott are entering Year 7 together. Their chemistry continues to get better and better and there is no QB Lamb would rather catch passes from than Prescott.
“That’ll never get old, ever,” Lamb said of catching passes deep downfield from Prescott. “I’m excited that we’re able to do that more times than not and able to connect early on in camp. I feel like that was a lot of things we were missing in our time together, and I feel like we’re hitting on all cylinders now. … For Dak, I want to run a route that’s helpful to him, clear to him. If he knows what I’m running, I’m not worried about nothing else. As long as I’m in my spot when I need to be, I get the ball in my hands, I’ll handle the rest.”
CeeDee Wants To Win Badly
The 2026 season will be Lamb’s seventh in the NFL and his personal goals for the year are powerfully simple.
“I want to win,” Lamb said. “I want to win, I want to win, I want to stay healthy, and I want to dominate the year. Whatever that looks like, whatever the numbers look like, that’s cool. But as for me, I want to dominate, that’s what I want to do. That’s my contract to myself.”
Lamb enters the 2026 season with 571 receptions for 7,416 receiving yards and 41 receiving touchdowns in the regular season and 24 receptions for 316 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown in the playoffs.
The Cowboys play the New York Giants to begin the 2026 season. It will be fascinating to see how many games Dallas wins in Year 2 of the Brian Schottenheimer era.
