‘One Of The Best Teams’: CeeDee Lamb Says 3-5 Dallas Cowboys Roster Ranks Among The Best He’s Played On

FRISCO, Texas — CeeDee Lamb said Thursday that the Dallas Cowboys’ roster, top to bottom, is one of the best he has been part of, even at 3-5.
Lamb is in his seventh season in Dallas and was a First-Team All-Pro in 2023. The Cowboys went 7-9-1 last season, and they are coming off a 33-30 overtime loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
The roster is what Lamb pointed to first.
“For one, the roster. Just look, top bottom, I feel like this is probably one of the best teams that I’ve played on, been a part of. It’s just unfortunate how we’re starting the season,” Lamb said. “So just hoping that we could turn it around before this bye week and then get this thing going.”
CeeDee Lamb Says Players Have To Block Out Everything
Blocking out the record is the only way forward, in Lamb’s view, along with taking one step at a time.
“You got to really block out everything, just everything, no matter what’s being said, no matter what’s being shown, no matter what’s been proven in the past. Just be where you are and just put one foot in front of the other, and I feel like the next step should be your best step, no matter what it is,” Lamb said.
“At this point on, you got to kind of look yourself, not kind of, you got to look yourself in the mirror, hold yourself accountable, and then at the end of the day, just be selfless, man,” Lamb continued. “Don’t even be… don’t do it for yourself. Do it for your teammates. And that’s kind of the mindset that I’m going with.”
Lamb leads the NFL with 92 targets and has 60 catches for 709 yards and six touchdowns.
Tyler Smith Says Dallas Can Be The Best Team In The League
Offensive lineman Tyler Smith went a step further. He said Dallas can be the best team in the league, with a caveat about potential.
“We can be the best team in the league. And it’s like you said, potential really doesn’t mean nothing until you put it into action. But like I said, and like he said, it’s a must-win. It’s a must be intentional. You have to win the day,” Smith said. “Ultimately, the score is going to decide who wins on Sunday, but the way you prepared Monday through Saturday is going to decide how prepared you are going into Sunday.”
The Cowboys visit the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. Kickoff at Lucas Oil Stadium is set for noon CT on FOX.
