Jeremiyah Love Back At Practice As Arizona Cardinals List Nine Non-Participants Before Dallas Cowboys Game

TEMPE, Ariz. — Jeremiyah Love was back at practice Wednesday as a limited participant for the Arizona Cardinals, one of 15 players on their first injury report before Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium.
Nine Cardinals did not practice. Safety Budda Baker, offensive lineman Isaac Seumalo, outside linebacker Josh Sweat, and linebacker Mack Wilson Sr. were given rest days, with a knee also listed for Wilson. Defensive lineman Walter Nolen III (ankle), running back Tyler Allgeier (toe), outside linebacker Zaven Collins (illness), right guard Jon Gaines II (ankle), and right tackle Elijah Wilkinson (knee) also sat out.
Quarterback Carson Beck (back), cornerbacks Kei’Trel Clark (illness) and Max Melton (knee), wide receiver Michael Wilson (ribs), and safety Andrew Wingard (knee) joined Love as limited participants.
Jeremiyah Love Returns After Two Missed Games
The No. 3 overall pick in April’s draft has not played since Oct. 11. Cardinals coach Mike LaFleur told Arizona Sports’ Burns & Gambo on Oct. 5 that the rookie’s left ankle was not the one he sprained in the preseason, and he called it “a management-type thing.”
Through five games, Love ran 67 times for 245 yards and 1 touchdown and caught 11 passes for 36 yards and another score. Arizona won at the Los Angeles Rams without him on Oct. 18 and ran for a season-high 120 yards, with Allgeier and Bam Knight splitting the carries. Allgeier is now on the report with a toe injury.
Love did not practice Wednesday or Thursday of the next week. On Oct. 23, LaFleur ruled him out of the game against the Denver Broncos and said the rookie was getting better.
“Each situation is its own,” LaFleur said. “The whole point of this was to get [Jeremiyah] feeling great and feeling 100%. He’s getting better, but no. What Bam did has nothing to do with this.”
Arizona lost that game 30-16 on Sunday at State Farm Stadium. On Monday, LaFleur said Love would be back on the practice field Wednesday.
“We’ll see how the week goes,” LaFleur explained.
Walter Nolen III Sits As Carson Beck Returns On Limited Basis
Nolen hurt his ankle in practice the week before the Denver game and missed it. LaFleur said Monday he was “not expecting him probably at practice on Wednesday,” and the 2025 first-round pick, taken 16th overall, did not practice.
Gaines also sat out the Broncos game, and Arizona has been without starting left tackle Paris Johnson Jr. since he tore his left biceps in an Oct. 4 loss to the New York Giants. Wilkinson starts at right tackle. Seumalo signed with the Cardinals as a free agent in March.
Beck, a third-round pick in April, has dealt with back spasms and has not been active for a game this season. He has been available only as an emergency option.
Wilson practiced in a yellow non-contact jersey. He said his ribs were a little sore coming out of Sunday’s game and that the jersey was him being smart. Wilson caught 78 passes for 1,006 yards and 7 touchdowns last season.
Wingard, the starting free safety, hurt his knee in the loss to the Giants. He and Melton were inactive against Denver along with Love and Beck, and all four were back as limited participants.
Sweat sacked Dak Prescott twice, once on fourth down, when Arizona won 27-17 at AT&T Stadium on Nov. 3, 2025. The Cardinals have won the last four regular-season meetings with Dallas.
Arizona is 2-5 and has lost 10 straight home games. Dallas is 3-4 after Monday’s 38-21 win at Philadelphia. Kickoff Sunday is set for noon CT on FOX.
