‘Definitely The Key Move’: Bryan Broaddus Predicts Dallas Cowboys Trade For Maxx Crosby Before Deadline

FRISCO, Texas — Bryan Broaddus predicted Thursday on 105.3 The Fan that the Dallas Cowboys will trade for Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby before the NFL trade deadline. Teams have until Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 3 p.m. CT to complete deals.
Broaddus, a former NFL scout who played at LSU, co-hosts G-Bag Nation on the station. Earlier Thursday, he had gone over the Cowboys’ pass rush on Love of the Star, the Audacy podcast he co-hosts with Zach Wolchuk and Eric Chiofalo. Dallas has 10 sacks through seven games.
“Sometimes you have to think about, you have no pass rush,” Broaddus said. “It’s a shame that it hasn’t materialized like we all thought it might. But I’m going to make a bold prediction. I think they’re going to get Maxx Crosby.”
“I think they’re going to go get Maxx Crosby,” Broaddus continued. “I think that’s definitely the key move that they’re looking for.”
Maxx Crosby’s Season In Las Vegas
Crosby has 2 sacks in seven games this season, his eighth with the Raiders. Las Vegas opened 3-0 under first-year coach Klint Kubiak and then lost four straight to fall to 3-4. The Raiders play the New York Jets on Sunday.
In March, the Raiders agreed to trade Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens for two first-round picks. Baltimore backed out over concerns about the meniscus repair Crosby had after the 2025 season, and he returned to Las Vegas.
The Cowboys were among the teams that pursued Crosby before the Ravens deal. Dallas acquired Rashan Gary from the Green Bay Packers that same month for a 2027 fourth-round pick. The Cowboys also hold Green Bay’s 2027 first-round pick from the August 2025 trade that sent Micah Parsons to the Packers.
In September, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that the Los Angeles Rams tried to trade for Crosby after the Baltimore deal fell through. According to Rapoport, Crosby told the Rams and other interested teams that he no longer wanted to be traded.
Crosby, a five-time Pro Bowler, has 71.5 career sacks. The Raiders drafted him in the fourth round, 106th overall, out of Eastern Michigan in 2019. He played high school football at Colleyville Heritage. Crosby signed a three-year, $106.5 million extension with Las Vegas in March 2025.
Jerry Jones Calls Another Cowboys Trade Unlikely
Dallas made its first in-season trade on Oct. 1, acquiring cornerback Joey Porter Jr. from the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jerry Jones described a second move as a big statement during his weekly Tuesday appearance on 105.3 The Fan, the morning after the Cowboys beat the Philadelphia Eagles 38-21 to improve to 3-4.
“If we could do it where we sit right now, I would add to it,” Jones said. “But the adding to it is a big statement. It’s unlikely we’ll get the opportunity from outside coming in. But if it’s there, I’ll do it.”
Quinnen Williams had 1 of the Cowboys’ 2 sacks Monday at Lincoln Financial Field. Among Dallas’ edge rushers, Donovan Ezeiruaku leads with 1.5 sacks, while Gary and rookie Malachi Lawrence have 1 apiece. Gary had 7.5 sacks in each of his last two seasons with Green Bay.
The Cowboys host the Arizona Cardinals at noon CT Sunday at AT&T Stadium on FOX. Dallas plays at the Indianapolis Colts on Nov. 8, two days before the deadline.
