NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Titans are not interested in trading running back Tony Pollard, but they are open to offers for wide receiver Calvin Ridley, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport and ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Saturday. Ridley, who is under contract through 2027 but has no guaranteed salary next year, could be acquired for a late-round pick.

Tennessee (1-7) is on its bye this week. The Titans already traded defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons to the Chicago Bears and now hold two first-round picks in each of the next two NFL drafts.

Tony Pollard Stays After Two-Game Surge

Pollard has exploded over his past two games for 292 total yards and 5 touchdowns. Over his first six games, he ran 87 times for 349 yards and 1 touchdown, according to Athlon Sports.

Before Saturday’s report, Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer reported that Pollard had drawn interest from teams looking for running back help that did not want to pay the price for Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor. Those teams believed it would cost at least a fourth-round pick to pry Pollard loose.

The Dallas Cowboys drafted Pollard in the fourth round out of Memphis in 2019. He ran for more than 1,000 yards in each of his final two seasons in Dallas, including 2023 on the franchise tag, before signing a three-year, $24 million deal with Tennessee in 2024. He ran for 1,079 yards in his first season with the Titans. Pollard, 29, is in the final year of that contract and is due $7.25 million in 2026.

Calvin Ridley Available For Late-Round Pick

Ridley has 6 receptions this season. Breer reported that the veteran is not playing much anymore with rookie Carnell Tate emerging as the top option in a young receiver room, and that Ridley would come cheaper than Pollard, perhaps for a sixth-round pick. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported earlier this week that the Titans were hoping for a fifth-rounder.

Ridley signed a four-year, $92 million contract with Tennessee in 2024 that included $50 million guaranteed. To remain with the team this season, he agreed to a restructure in March that included an $11 million pay cut. If dealt, Ridley would carry about $2.58 million in remaining 2026 salary to his new team, according to Pro Football Rumors.

The Atlanta Falcons drafted Ridley in the first round in 2018 out of Alabama. He was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2022 and signed with Tennessee as a free agent after the 2023 season. The trade deadline is 3 p.m. CT Tuesday, and the Titans return to action in Week 10.
