FRISCO, Texas — The Texas Legends acquired the No. 1 pick in the 2026 NBA G League Draft in a four-team trade with the Windy City Bulls, Osceola Magic, and Sioux Falls Skyforce, the team announced. Texas sent the No. 3 pick to Osceola and the No. 6 pick to Windy City.
The Legends listed the top pick under the Wisconsin Herd designation. On Sept. 17, Texas acquired the No. 3 pick from the Grand Rapids Gold. It got the No. 6 pick from the Santa Cruz Warriors five days later.
Returning player rights to three players moved among the other three clubs. Windy City sent the rights to Kevin Knox II to Osceola, Sioux Falls sent the rights to Isaiah Stevens to Windy City, and Osceola sent the rights to Lester Quiñones to Sioux Falls. The Skyforce announced their end of the trade Saturday.
Emanuel Miller And Miles Kelly Deals Brought The No. 3 And No. 6 Picks To Frisco
Texas traded the No. 4 pick and the returning player rights to Emanuel Miller to Grand Rapids for the No. 3 pick, a 2027 first-round pick, and the rights to three players who will play overseas this season. The No. 3 pick originally belonged to the Westchester Knicks and reached Grand Rapids through the Valley Suns. Miller averaged 18.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 16 games for the Legends in 2024-25.
The Santa Cruz deal on Sept. 22 cost Texas the returning rights to Miles Kelly. Santa Cruz also sent the Legends the returning rights to two players. Kelly played 33 games, including 26 starts, for Texas last season. He averaged 21.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists and shot 38.3% from 3-point range.
That same day, the Legends traded their own No. 8 pick to the Capital City Go-Go for the returning rights to Christopher Mantis. In 45 games with Capital City last season, Mantis averaged 7.6 points and shot 41.7% from 3-point range.
On July 2, Texas used the first and third picks in the G League International Draft. The Legends also held the first overall pick in the 2023 G League Draft. On Oct. 28, 2023, they traded the draft rights to that pick to the South Bay Lakers for the No. 2 pick, a 2024 first-round pick, and a 2024 second-round pick.
Returning Rights To Kevin Knox II, Isaiah Stevens, And Lester Quiñones Change Hands
Orlando signed Knox to an Exhibit 10 contract Wednesday, six days before the Orlando Magic open training camp. Osceola, which now holds his G League rights, is Orlando’s affiliate. The contract can pay Knox a bonus of up to $91,000 if Orlando waives him and he spends at least 60 days with Osceola.
The New York Knicks drafted Knox ninth overall in 2018. He last played in the NBA with the Golden State Warriors in 2024-25. With Windy City last season, Knox averaged 22.7 points in 26 starts.
Stevens played high school basketball at Allen and then played at Colorado State from 2019 to 2024. Across 153 college games, he averaged 15.4 points and 5.6 assists. He went undrafted in 2024 and began his professional career with Sioux Falls.
In December 2024, the Miami Heat signed Stevens to a two-way contract. He appeared in 3 games for Miami that season. Stevens spent 2025-26 on a two-way deal with the Sacramento Kings, who waived him July 27.
Quiñones earned All-NBA G League First Team honors with Osceola in 2025-26 and was selected for the NBA G League Next Up Game. He was the G League’s Most Improved Player in 2022-23 with Santa Cruz. Over 54 NBA regular-season games with Golden State, the Philadelphia 76ers, and the New Orleans Pelicans, Quiñones has averaged 4.8 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.1 assists. He played college basketball at Memphis.
The G League Draft is Saturday, Oct. 24, at noon CT. On Sept. 15, the Dallas Mavericks named Nate Mitchell to a dual role as a Dallas assistant and Legends head coach.
Texas opens its 50-game schedule Sunday, Nov. 8, at the Mexico City Capitanes at 6:30 p.m. CT. The Legends host the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the home opener Friday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. CT at Comerica Center.
