Against the LA Galaxy on April 18, Moore made his 100th MLS regular season start.

His first assist of the year came in the Texas Derby against the Houston Dynamo FC. The second came in the Leagues Cup opener on Aug. 5, when Moore entered in the 75th minute against Querétaro FC and delivered a low cross that Joaquín Valiente finished first time in the 81st for the second goal of a 2-0 win at Texas Health Mansfield Stadium.

No FC Dallas player has covered more ground this season than Moore’s 94.11 miles. He ranks 39th in MLS.

In his first season in Frisco, Moore scored 3 goals and added 2 assists in 2,822 minutes across 33 MLS matches.

Dallas is currently sixth in the Western Conference with 27 points, holding a 7-5-6 record. Their 1-0 victory against Chivas de Guadalajara on Saturday gave them six points after two matches in Leagues Cup Phase One.

Shaq Moore in Spain and Nashville

A product of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, Moore joined the FC Dallas Academy in 2014 and left for Spain the following year. He came back to train periodically with the FC Dallas first team in 2017.

Moore turned professional at 18 with CF HuracĂ¡n, then made 174 appearances over eight seasons with AtlĂ©tico Levante UD and CF Reus Deportiu. His LaLiga debut came at 20. He made six top-flight appearances for Levante UD.

Three seasons at CD Tenerife followed, with 101 appearances for the LaLiga2 side from 2019 to 2022.

In July 2022, Nashville SC re-signed him to MLS with a transfer fee of approximately $2 million. He played 82 matches in total, including all competitions, scoring 1 goal and providing 12 assists. Of these, 66 were MLS games, with 61 starts.

Dallas acquired Moore from Nashville in December 2024 for up to $150,000 in General Allocation Money. The package included $50,000 in 2025 money, up to $100,000 in incentives, and a sell-on percentage for Nashville on any transfer outside MLS.

Shaq Moore’s United States Career

Since his senior debut in 2018, Moore has earned 19 caps for the United States, and he was part of the squad that won the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup.

He made the United States roster for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and appeared in group play against England and Iran. Two years later, he was part of the squad at the 2024 Copa América.

Mauricio Pochettino did not select Moore for the 2026 World Cup roster. In June, Moore said he was looking forward to supporting the squad through the tournament.

Before the senior team, Moore played for the United States at the under-17, under-18, and under-20 levels.

On July 10, Logan Farrington signed through the 2027-28 season with club options for 2028-29 and 2029-30. Friday’s extension is the second Dallas has announced this summer.
