ARLINGTON, Texas — Azzi Fudd turned in the best shooting efficiency night of her career on Monday, hitting 8 of her 9 attempts for 19 points in the Dallas Wings‘ 96-66 win over the Las Vegas Aces at College Park Center. Fudd added 7 of those points during a second-quarter run that broke the game open, and she opened the fourth quarter with another basket as Dallas pulled away.
The career night extended a strong run for Fudd, who has averaged 18.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists over her last three games. This season, she is averaging 12.9 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists while shooting 52.7% from the field over 13 games.

Head coach Jose Fernandez said her offense has grown well beyond the catch-and-shoot 3s that teams aggressively try to take away. She always has a poised counter to aggressive contests.
“She doesn’t get frazzled,” Fernandez said. “She doesn’t get rushed, kept her composure. She keeps it real simple. [When] she doesn’t have a three, now people lock up, now people are flying by, she gets to her mid-range, people crowd her, now she’s putting the ball down the floor and getting to the rim.”

Fudd tied the night to the way Dallas shared the ball. The Wings finished with 30 assists and shot better than 70% in the first half.
“I felt really settled today,” Fudd told USA Network. “We played great team basketball. We were just super locked in and played together, and when we do that we’re unstoppable.”
The Wings led wire-to-wire and never trailed. Fudd was one of five Dallas players to score in double figures, joining Arike Ogunbowale, Jessica Shepard, Paige Bueckers, and Aziaha James.
