FRISCO, Texas — Shavon Revel Jr. is listed as a co-starter with Cobie Durant at cornerback on the Dallas Cowboys’ unofficial depth chart for Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. The team released the chart Tuesday, two days after Durant strained his hamstring in a 37-20 win over the Washington Commanders.
Revel, a second-year cornerback, replaced Durant after the injury, which came in the final sequence of the first half. Ameer Speed is listed third at that cornerback spot. DaRon Bland is the other starting cornerback, with Caelen Carson behind him.
At safety, Malik Hooker and P.J. Locke share the top line with an “or” between them, as they have on all three of the Cowboys’ regular-season depth charts. Hooker was inactive Sunday with the forearm he fractured in the Sept. 13 opener against the New York Giants. Locke went down on a third down during Washington’s opening drive with a torn plantar fascia, and Markquese Bell took his snaps.
Bell is listed second behind Jalen Thompson at the other safety spot. Alijah Clark is listed third.
Cobie Durant, P.J. Locke Could Miss A Few Weeks For Dallas Cowboys
Dallas Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer said Monday that Durant and Locke could each miss a few weeks. The team has not decided whether to place Locke on injured reserve. Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones told 105.3 The Fan that he does not expect either player to go on injured reserve.
Dallas elevated linebackers Curtis Robinson and Justin Barron from the practice squad for the Washington game. Schottenheimer said he thought the Cowboys used those elevations well.
“Next man up,” Schottenheimer said. “That’s real. I thought we used the elevations well for the linebackers. I think we’re working some things potentially on defense, maybe in the secondary. We’ve got some guys there that might step up and help us in a couple different roles. But as we get into the plan, I think it’s going to be what this league is about, is next man up.”
Durant signed with Dallas this offseason after four seasons with the Los Angeles Rams, where he had 141 tackles, 7 interceptions, 26 passes defensed, and 2 defensive touchdowns. He was credited with 2 tackles in his Dallas debut against the Giants.
Locke signed with the Cowboys in free agency after six seasons with the Denver Broncos. Bland spent the end of the 2025 season on injured reserve after Dallas placed him there on Dec. 20.
Caleb Downs Listed At Nickel, Punt Returner On Dallas Cowboys Depth Chart
Rookie Caleb Downs is listed at the nickel defensive back spot. Dallas took him 11th overall in April out of Ohio State. He is also listed second at punt returner behind KaVontae Turpin and ahead of Jonathan Mingo.
Locke’s injury pushed more of the safety snaps to Bell on Sunday. Schottenheimer said after the game that Downs can move around the formation.
“We love P.J. Locke,” Schottenheimer explained. “I think Caleb played really, really well… Caleb’s a guy that can move around, but we like him down near the line of scrimmage.”
Speed signed with Dallas on June 17 after playing for the Houston Gamblers of the UFL. Bland led the NFL in interceptions in 2023 and set a single-season league record with 5 interceptions returned for touchdowns.
