DALLAS — The Dallas Mavericks have listed Kyrie Irving (left knee injury management), Naji Marshall (illness), and Caleb Martin (right thumb sprain) as questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder at American Airlines Center.

Santi Aldama (right knee surgery) and Tarik Biberović (right heel bursitis) are doubtful. Dallas ruled out Sergio De Larrea (right knee sprain) and Dereck Lively II (right foot surgery).

The Mavericks are 2-2 after a 113-109 win over the Miami Heat on Monday, when Cooper Flagg had 29 points, 6 rebounds, and 11 assists. Wednesday is the first of three straight home games. Oklahoma City comes in at 4-0 and has ruled out six players, including Jalen Williams, Cason Wallace, and Chet Holmgren. Ajay Mitchell is questionable with a right ankle sprain.

Kyrie Irving, Naji Marshall, And Caleb Martin Questionable

Irving sat out Saturday’s 122-106 loss to the San Antonio Spurs with the same left knee designation, on the second night of a back-to-back. Dallas played Monday in Miami and has Tuesday off before facing Oklahoma City.

Before the Oct. 23 game at Indiana, Mavericks coach Dusty May confirmed that Irving is on a minutes restriction in his return from the torn left ACL he suffered on March 3, 2025. Irving missed all of last season. He has scored 15, 24, and 18 points in his three games this season.

May opened his availability before Saturday’s game with the injury report, starting with Flagg, who had been hurt the night before in Indianapolis.

“He has a left shoulder sprain,” May said. “Kyrie will be out tonight with injury management, with it being the second night of a back-to-back.”

Marshall missed Monday’s game with the illness. Across Dallas’ first three games, he averaged 13.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 5.7 assists.

Martin has not played this season. He was listed as doubtful for Monday before the Mavericks downgraded him to out, the fourth straight game he has missed with the thumb sprain. Wednesday’s designation is the first time this season he has been listed above doubtful.

Santi Aldama Doubtful, Sergio De Larrea Ruled Out

De Larrea hurt his right knee in the second quarter Monday while trying to corral an inbound pass, and he did not return. He finished with 1 rebound in 6 minutes. Two days earlier, he scored 21 points on 9-of-15 shooting against the Spurs.

Walter Clayton Jr. had 15 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists in 17 minutes in Miami. Dallas acquired the draft rights to De Larrea, the 25th overall pick in 2026, from the Los Angeles Lakers on draft night.

The Mavericks assigned Aldama to the Texas Legends on Tuesday to practice as part of his return-to-play protocol. He will scrimmage with the G League affiliate and be recalled without appearing in any Legends games.

Aldama had an arthroscopic procedure on his right knee on March 17, while he was still with the Memphis Grizzlies, and he has not played since Feb. 4. Dallas acquired him in a July 8 trade. He sat out all four preseason games and the first four games of the regular season.

“I haven’t met with those guys,” May explained after an Oct. 18 practice. “I can’t imagine he’s going to be able to play a full 48, but he’s definitely moving in the right direction. He had a good practice today.”

Biberović is still waiting on his NBA debut. He came off the bench in an Oct. 11 preseason win in Macao. The heel bursitis has kept him out since the preseason finale.

Lively has not played since Nov. 21, 2025, and he appeared in seven games last season. His season-ending surgery that December was the third operation on his right foot within a calendar year.

Tip-off is set for 8:30 p.m. CT at American Airlines Center. The game airs nationally on ESPN.
