FRISCO, Texas — CeeDee Lamb has never beaten the Arizona Cardinals, and the Dallas Cowboys receiver said after Thursday’s practice that Arizona has come out with more energy than Dallas every time the teams have met.

Arizona has won all four meetings since Dallas drafted Lamb in the first round in 2020. The Cardinals won 38-10 at AT&T Stadium in October 2020, 25-22 at AT&T Stadium in January 2022, 28-16 in Glendale, Ariz., in September 2023, and 27-17 on “Monday Night Football” at AT&T Stadium last November.

Lamb would not call it a heightened focus this week. He did call the run of losses “a note to take,” and said the Cardinals have “punched us in the mouth every single time.”

“Just come out. They’ve always had more energy just coming out in the game. They’re more excited regardless of if it was a 12 o’clock, Sunday night, Monday night,” Lamb said. “We played them in prime time. They beat us there.”

“So just coming in, treating them as if they are a Super Bowl contender team, which they may be. Hats off to them and their prep. And we just got to go match them. If not, overpower it,” Lamb continued.

The last meeting was a 27-17 Arizona win on Nov. 3, 2025. Jacoby Brissett, then filling in as the Cardinals’ starter, completed 21-of-31 passes for 261 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for another score. Dak Prescott was sacked 5 times, and Dallas went 0-for-3 on fourth down in what was its first home loss of that season.

Brissett is still Arizona’s starting quarterback. The Cardinals (2-5) lost 30-16 to the Denver Broncos on Sunday and are 0-3 at home under first-year coach Mike LaFleur. Dallas (3-4) is coming off a 38-21 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night.

CeeDee Lamb Says Cowboys Showed Who They Are In Philadelphia

Lamb caught 5 passes for 74 yards and 2 touchdowns on 12 targets in that win, a two-touchdown night against the Eagles that gave him 7 touchdown catches this season. Dallas ran 38 times for 204 yards and threw 27 times.

Before the trip to Philadelphia, Cowboys offensive coordinator Klayton Adams said the offense still had to develop an identity and was searching for one, WFAA’s Ed Werder reported.

Putting it on tape is only the first step for Lamb. Believing in it comes second, and staying consistent after that.

“That’s exactly who we are. We’re very balanced. We can beat you in a run game. We can beat you in a pass. That’s what we all know,” Lamb explained. “So just honestly just putting that out, putting that on tape for one and then believing in it for two.”

“And I feel like once you do those two things, you just got to be consistent in that department,” Lamb added.

Lamb Wants Back-To-Back Wins Before Anything Else

Dallas has not won consecutive games this season. The Cowboys beat the Washington Commanders 37-20 on Sept. 20 and won 34-30 at the Houston Texans on Oct. 4, then lost the following week both times.

Lamb said there is no room to talk about anything beyond Sunday without taking care of Sunday first.

“To be honest, the win one, lose one, it’s not really … you don’t get no momentum as a team,” Lamb said. “You don’t get no momentum. You don’t get any leeway to say anything about what’s going on after this without handling this right now.”

“And I feel like we just need to focus on one game at a time, no matter who it is, who we playing, what time we play them, where it’s at. We need to go out there, handle business, and then we’ll see,” Lamb continued.

The Cowboys host the Cardinals on Sunday at AT&T Stadium. Kickoff is set for noon CT on FOX.
